ENABLING ENVIRONMENT & HUMAN RIGHTS

The goal of JASL’s Enabling Environment and Human Rights programme is to improve the quality for life for persons living with HIV and AIDS by aiming to reduce HIV-related sigma, discrimination and violence.

The objectives of the programme in realising the goal are to:

• Reduce stigma and discrimination among the general populations and key duty bearers
• Improve the capacity of key populations to seek and claim their own rights through provision of legal literacy and human rights sessions
• Promote human rights and social justice through advocacy, support and law and policy reform
• Reduce violence and discrimination against women and gender non-conforming males within the context of HIV.
