JASL routinely conducts empirical research with the target populations it serves to investigate the structural drivers and other factors affecting key population vulnerable to HIV. The organization also continuously undertakes informal research with PLHIV and members of various key groups to improve its strategies to meet the changing needs of the people it serves.
